This Week In Photography

David Bailey is a documentary photographer and photojournalist based in Dallas, Texas. His images are published and sold world wide. He started his lifetime photography trek while growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area. His images span the spectrum from nature scenes of Yosemite, Israel or the back roads of America to documentary images of natural disasters, politics and sports. David is a self taught photographer, starting at the age of 12 with a Mamiya 135 film camera. His approach is as varied as are his subjects. He looks to capture images in a way that tells a story and brings the viewer into the event. David’s clients include companies such as Adidas and Major League Soccer to non-profit organizations and even NASA. Publications i.e. The London Times and T.V. Guide frequently pull from David’s images to tell stories. David shoots images in color and black and white film as well as ultra high quality digital. David is a teacher and mentor to aspiring photographers and frequently communicates with students on projects and school assignments. David is the founder of several photography related companies, i.e. VIP Photography (fashion) and Online News Photos (photo agency).
